Hands On Optics Teacher Training
Hands On Optics (HOO) is a collaboration between the National Optical
Astronomy Observatory, the Optical Society of America, and the
International Society of Optical Engineering. Hands On Optics consists
of a series of six modules that cover different areas of optics.
Teachers will receive training in each of the six modules over a
two-year period. The teacher will be paired with an Optics Resource
Volunteer (ORV). Pairing a professional educator with a professional
scientist leads to a rich experience for students in the program. This
program is free and open to all Arizona MESA and Tucson area teachers.
