Solar Resources The NASA Sun-Earth Media Viewer is a Flash-based viewer. It allows visitors to zoom and pan live NASA solar and Earth images. It includes a scale tool. The viewer also contains video interviews with scientists and detailed scientific animations and visualizations.

The Solar Science Workshop is funded by a research grant received by the National Science Foundation (Solar-Terrestrial Program Award #0447354) and awarded to Assistant Professor Joe Giacalone at the University of Arizona Lunar and Planetary Laboratory. Partners included The University of Arizona Science and Mathematics Education Center and the National Optical Astronomy Observatory (NOAO).
